Terms of Sale and License
Last updated October 15, 2026
These terms cover buying and using LunchboxWM ("Lunchbox"), a window manager for Mac made by Sentient Donut LLC, 5900 Balcones Drive, Suite 100, Austin, Texas 78731, USA ("we", "us"). By buying or using Lunchbox you agree to them. Questions: support@sentientdonut.com.
1. What you're buying
A Lunchbox license: a one-time purchase, not a subscription. You pay once and are never charged again. The price is shown in US dollars on our website and at checkout, plus any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live, which checkout calculates and shows before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
Lunchbox runs on Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later) and macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Please check this before buying; it won't run on Intel Macs.
2. Your license
- Your license lets you, one person, install and use Lunchbox on all Macs you personally own or use. For a team, buy one license per person.
- It includes every future version of Lunchbox we release, at no extra charge.
- Your license key is personal to you. Please don't share it publicly or with other people.
- You may not resell, rent or sublicense Lunchbox, remove its license check, or redistribute modified copies.
- We keep all rights to Lunchbox not expressly granted here. You're buying a license to use the software, not the software itself.
3. Free trial
If we offer a free trial, every feature works during it. When it ends, Lunchbox stops arranging windows until you enter a license. Your windows are never closed or changed when a trial ends.
4. Delivery
Your license key appears on screen right after payment and is emailed to the address you used at checkout. Lost it? Have it sent again at any time.
5. Refunds and your right to cancel
You can get a full refund for any reason within 14 days of buying. See our Refund Policy. When a purchase is refunded or charged back, its license stops working: Lunchbox checks for this about once a week.
If you live in the EU or UK: at checkout you asked us to deliver Lunchbox immediately and acknowledged that this ends your statutory 14-day right to cancel once it's delivered. Our 14-day refund still applies.
6. What Lunchbox does on your Mac
Lunchbox needs macOS's Accessibility permission to move and resize other apps' windows. It works entirely on your Mac and doesn't send your windows, keystrokes or usage anywhere. See our Privacy Policy.
7. No warranty
We work hard to make Lunchbox reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. Some places don't allow these exclusions, so they may not apply to you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or work, arising from Lunchbox, and our total liability for any claim about Lunchbox is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.
9. Ending the license
Your license lasts indefinitely. It ends if the purchase is refunded or charged back, or if you break these terms. You may stop using Lunchbox at any time.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows when. Changes don't take away a license you've already bought.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts in Travis County, Texas, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them locally. Please write to us first; most things can be sorted out by email.
